    Matt McKay, Reporter

Basically, I'm a little league reporter trying to make it into the big leagues. Experience? Oh I have experience. In a nutshell: Over a year at the FAN590 as an intern. Besides amassing audio from around the world of sports for their on-air talent, they graciously gave me the opportunity to perform live hits from aorund Toronto while reporting on the 2008 UEFA European Football Championship (Euro 2008), interview players from the visitors locker room at Major League Baseball and National Basketball Association games and help produce some of their shows. Six months at SUN TV, one of Canada's rare independent television stations. Specifically I work on the show: "The Casino Rama Grill Room" a high-energy, opinion driven sports talk show and "Fantasy: the 411" a fantasy sports show for MLB, NFL and NHL junkies. My first paying gig: Sportsnet Ontario as a Broadcast Assistant. I last only a few months before getting laid off, but the experience I gained here was more then valuable. Television is what I envision as my final destination (hopefully as a sports anchor) and it was a great feeling being an important part of putting together so many Sportsnet Connected shows. I also write as much as possible. I've written several articles for the University of Toronto's student paper, "The Varsity" and while taking journalism at Centennial College I had the pleasure of working as one of their sports editors for the student paper "The Courier." Okay that wasn't quite a nutshell...
