Healthy vegetable oils may increase risk of heart disease

It is a much believed fact that the vegetable oils are very healthy for hearts. If you are using it, it will keep you healthy and going. This notion have been broken by a research published in Canadian Medical Association Journal that some of the vegetable oils that mostly claims to be healthy may lead to increase the risk of heart disease. This may lead to severe consequences including the reconsideration of food labeling by the Health Canada. This research proved that these oils can harm heart health. Rather than decreasing the risk these oils increase the risk. As these oils may rich in omega-6 but omega-3 α is missing in them, that increases heart diseases.

The co-researcher, Drs. Richard Bazinet, Department of Nutritional Sciences, University of Toronto explains, “Careful evaluation of recent evidence, however, suggests that allowing a health claim for vegetable oils rich in omega-6 linoleic acid but relatively poor in omega-3 α-linolenic acid may not be warranted.”
