Living a healthy lifestyle can dramatically reduce your risk of being diagnosed with cancer.
According to researchers, up to 40% of breast and bowel cancers can be prevented through eating properly, getting exercise and drinking only in moderation.
The large study was conducted by Michael Marmot from the World Cancer Research Fund and the American Institute for Cancer Research.

The researchers state that if people lived healthy lives, millions of cancer related deaths each and every year could be prevented.
For their study the researchers compared data from Brazil, Britain, China and the United States.
They determined that when it came to the most 12 common types of cancer, up to 1 third of them could be prevented through clean living.
The researchers urge that a good diet, rich in fruits and vegetables, plus exercise is the way to go to put yourself at reduced risk of being diagnosed.
