Eating BBQed Meat Can Raise Your Risk of Pancreatic Cancer

Bad news for those people who love eating meat grilled on the BBQ, as a new study has linked it to an increased risk of pancreatic cancer.

As summer approaches and more people choose to fire up their bbqs to grill some summer steaks, this study indicates that doing just that can be very dangerous to your health.
The study was carried out by researchers from University of Minnesota, and finds that eating too much bbq goodness can kill.
It featured 62,581 healthy people, in which researchers tracked eating habits.

Over a 9 year period, more than 280 cases of pancreatic cancer were diagnosed.

According to the researchers, grilling meat to the point of charring it, and then eating it over a prolonged period of time can raise your risk of pancreatic cancer by as much as 60%, as seen by analyzing the study data.
Researchers say that to not raise your risk of pancreatic cancer, people should cook their meat on a lower temperature so it does not charr.
