A report has revealed that there has been a spike in the number of cosmetic procedures performed in the past few years, showing that plastic surgery is as popular as ever.
Given the current economic situation for many people around the country it should be interesting to note that there are a growing number of people using their hard earned money to better themselves – on the outside at least.

According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons the number of cosmetic surgeries is up 5% since 2012. Nearly 13 million elective surgeries were performed in 2010 with breast augmentation being the number one surgery selected by almost 300,000 people.

Following closely behind were liposuction, tummy tucks, nose reshapes, and eyelid procedures. Also noted by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons were non-surgical cosmetic procedures – with the most popular one of these being Botox injections followed by laser hair removal, chemical peels, and soft tissue fills.

The feelings behind the increased number is that many people have been waiting to have these done until they felt more secure in their finances or had been saving up money for quite some time.
