Olympics, Vancouver (2), Winter Olympics (2)Well I’m here.
Besides leaving the -21 C temperatures behind in Toronto ( it’s at least 10 C in Vancouver), it’s a fact that I get to escape my hometown during the most frigid month of the year to work at the Olympic Games.
Not only do I get paid but I’m stylin’ with free gear.
I mean, who wouldn’t want a ski jacket, a spring jacket, two turtlenecks, two pairs of pants (black cords! Yeah baby, they’re back in style!), a hat and gloves? So, I had no choice but to buy a $265 pair of Prada sunglasses to go with my outfit.
The uniform is actually pretty damn nice. Honestly, I would wear some of it after the Olympics. I was scared the gear would be ugly like the bright blue crap they gave the volunteers (who I think they dragged out of seniors’ homes in B.C. because by my analysis the average age must be 70).
Editors Note: there is also a rumour Matt is living rent-free with relatives but he will neither confirm nor deny it.
