The car maufacturer threw a stellar bash at the highly anticipated Böhmer, chef Paul Boehmer’s pseudo-eponymous restaurant, which isn’t even officially open for business yet.
Audi marketing manager Carsten Ruwoldt was on hand to mingle with guests.
“Audi and the interior design show are a great partnership,” he said. “Design is a big part of what we do. We wanted to give the industry a night to meet their colleagues and hang out.”
While he is known as one of the top chefs in the city, Boehmer also paid serious attention to the look of the restaurant. A car garage in its previous life, Böhmer was constructed to allow the occasional car to be parked inside. It includes art by photographer Kelly Clipperton and furniture made of reclaimed wood by the Brothers Dressler.
His restaurant was a great fit with both IDS and Audi’s mandates since Boehmer values good design himself.
“I’ve been working on this space for over a year,” said Boehmer. “It is an expession of who I am. This is my dining room for people to come and enjoy.”
Needless to say, the Audi IDS industry party was a hit. See the photo gallery for photos from the evening.
