The Toronto Humane Society’s spokesman was handcuffed and briefly detained for allegedly trespassing when he tried to walk into the society’s River Street shelter this morning.

Ian McConachie said he went in to the building to ask for a list of employees and volunteers barred from entering the shelter after five senior officials were arrested Thursday on animal cruelty charges.
