Toronto Mayor David Miller “is not going to seek re-election,” sources confirmed Friday.
Mr. Miller has scheduled a 10 a.m. ET press conference to make the announcement. He still has 15 months remaining in his term before the November, 2010 election.
Mr. Miller has always said he would run for a third term as mayor next year but his standing has plummeted in the polls since this summer’s unpopular city worker’s strike.
