Police have charged a man they allege repeatedly broke into a Scarborough restaurant.

The break-ins started May 15 at the restaurant located in the 4000 block of Kingston Road. Police said the thief took several bottles of liquor. The restaurant owners reported another break-in on June 9 and like the previous robbery, several bottles of liquor were stolen.

The alleged thief struck once again the next day, but this time he was caught on video. The suspect had previous contact with the police, which contributed to his arrest.

Police described the suspect as a 46-year-old who “lives a transient lifestyle which contributes to his criminal behavior.”

He has been charged with three counts of breaking and entering.
