Members of Toronto Police’s Anti-Violence Intervention Strategy (TAVIS) laid 51 charges involving drugs and firearms today against three men driving a stolen car on Jane Street near Highway 401.
The arrests took place Tuesday night at 9 p.m. at 2020 Jane St. Police say they recovered a loaded .40-calibre semi-automatic handgun, a loaded 9-mm semi-automatic handgun, and a quantity of marijuana and crack cocaine from the stolen car.
Franklin Afrifa, 19, Michael Mensah, 20 and Ibrahim Sadat, 18, all of Toronto, face charges including possession of stolen property, unauthorized possession of a firearm and breach of probation. Mensah was also charged with possession of crack cocaine and marijuana.
The three men are scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Wednesday.
